Daniel Townes
Since emerging onto the Sydney comedy scene almost a decade ago as a hot young prospect, Daniel Townes has rapidly made his name as one of the country’s best and most sought comedians.
He headlines an enormous night of top flight comedic talent at Comedy on the Rox on Wednesday, February 29.
With his laidback style of stand-up, Townes has won over audiences worldwide, having performed in Singapore, Germany, Spain, Ireland, South Africa, Canada, Holland, and all over the UK. In Australia, he’s worked everywhere from Mildura to Broken Hill and Griffith to Wodonga. As well as being a regular at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival and the Sydney Comedy Festival, he has also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the prestigious invite-only Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, the latter aspired to by the whole industry.
MC for the evening is Victorian Nick Cody while Sarah Furtner, all the way from WA, and Laura Hughes, who has been selected in the Melbourne International Festival’s Comedy Zone for up-and-coming comics, are the support acts.
